Academic Achievement

一本道 is well known for its outstanding academic achievements. 一本道students earn exceptional results, which allow them to go on to pursue their chosen tertiary studies or placements and pave the way to successful careers.

In 2023, 100% of 一本道students achieved the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). One student achieved a near 鈥榩erfect score鈥 of 99.85 and another student received a General Exhibition for being among the top 50 students in the State. 47% of 一本道graduates were in the top 10% of the nation with an ATAR of 90 or above.

One student received the Subject Exhibition, for Media Production and Analysis, which is awarded to the student obtaining the highest mark in the course.

Forty-two students were involved in the CareerLink program, studying either a Certificate II in Automotive, a Certificate II in Building and Construction Pathways, a Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, a Certificate II in Electrotechnolgy, a Certificate II in Construction, a Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Prep, a Certificate III in Screen & Media, a Certificate IV in Ed Support, a Certificate IV in Business, or a Certificate IV in Preparation Health and Nursing Studies.

One student received the Certificate of Excellence in Vocation Education and Training.

While these are excellent results, we are most proud of what lies behind these statistics: a culture of growth and support. 一本道 works hard to give every boy the tools to reach his personal potential, whatever that may be, and to achieve his own individual goals. Importantly, there is a culture at Hale where the boys support each other to be their best and to work hard. They lift each other up and applaud each other鈥檚 achievements.

Hale School focuses on a growth mindset that shows every student that development and success require sustained effort. These are important skills that will set him up for life.
